Road, rail, port leaders to brainstorm at 2nd Lagos Transport Fest

Road, rail, logistics and port leaders are set to brainstorm at the 2nd edition of Lagos Transport Fest scheduled to hold on 15 and 16  December, 2020 in hybrid form ( in person/virtual) at the Civic

Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme of the two-day event organized  by Eventhive.ng, is Building Partnerships For Mobility Growth.

Building on the successes recorded from the flagship edition last year,
which hosted more than 500 attendees from 10 countries, the event has now grown to become West Africa’s premier meeting place for the Transport Industry.

In a statement made available to AUTO REPORT AFRICA,  the organizers of the annual event  said: “In 2020, Lagos Transport Fest will harmonize West African transport leaders across road, rail, logistics and port ecosystem who will define the business models, infrastructural requirements and public-private partnerships that will finance mobility projects and provide tech solutions that will enable the equitable movement of people, goods and services.”

The statement added that “With much focus on pressing issues within the sector, industry leaders
and investors will unite again for the 2nd edition of the annual
flagship Transport event, Lagos Transport Fest, scheduled to hold on the  15th & 16th of December, 2020 to exchange conversations guided by the theme, ‘Building Partners For Mobility Growth’.

“Lagos Transport Fest is designed for road, rail, logistics and port
authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines, bulk exporters,
investors and governments looking to forge new frontiers for the economy through road, ports and rail connectivity, optimisation and new business  opportunities.”

What’s New in 2020?

The event will spotlight thoughts across road, rail, logistics and port
ecosystem that will define infrastructural requirement, Digital tools  and public-private partnership that will finance mobility project and  enable the equitable movement of people and goods.

The key focus areas for this year’s conversations will include: Future of Public/Private Partnerships and how they can accelerate mobility projects;

Mobility as a service; Future of ticketing and payment For West Africa’s transport market;

Accelerating Nigeria’s  economic recovery through a resilient port and logistics sector;

Improving efficiency in ports through digitization; Railing up to a connected Africa; Leveraging on debt capital markets for infrastructural  developments.

As is the tradition, Lagos Transport Fest 2020 will also feature
exhibitions of latest products, technologies and services from transport  companies to an involved audience (B2B) that includes investors,  suppliers, service providers etc.
