The Husqvarna Automower 415X has made the list of top innovations of 2022 as it was one of the 50 selected for a special mention by Time Magazine’s recently released annual “Best Inventions” list for 2022.
According to Time Magazine, “The Husqvarna Automower 415X can mow lawns up to 16 000 square feet to specified lengths, and can even tackle slopes and narrow passages. The robot has GPS-assisted navigation that is controlled via an app and can be voice-activated and even predicts the weather conditions to pick the perfect mowing time.”
The Time Magazine’s annual “Best Inventions” list for 2022 is based on nominations from Time’s editors and correspondents around the world. The prestigious publication has compiled a list of the world’s best inventions for over 20 years and this year, according to Time, the focus was particularly on growing industries such as electric vehicles, green energy, and the metaverse. Each nominee was then evaluated on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.
The list which celebrates innovations that are making the world better, smarter and a bit more fun contains a total of 200 groundbreaking inventions along with 50 inventions which received special mention.
“We are absolutely thrilled and very proud as a company to have received recognition for our Automower 415X,” says Pieter Smuts, MD of Husqvarna South Africa. “This is an incredible achievement and testimony to the innovation of the Husqvarna team and our constant quest to not only develop premium products that are ground-breaking but ones that also focus on the highest quality and safety. This recognition will continue to challenge each of us to continue to deliver impactful solutions for the future.”
